When we live near the coastal areas we often come across small and big shells .Some are in the deep ocean while some comes on the coast along with the current of the water waves. There are some shells with pearls in the mouth .These are made of minerals and chemicals which are a result of sedimentation of sand and other external forces acting on it .Shell is also used as a term to denote a stage of depression .It is a term associated with a closed chamber which is dark inside and the door is closed which means that the person who is inside the chamber does not want to associate itself with the outside world or people. He may be upset with the members for some personnel reason and comes out only if the issue is resolved. It is used as a decorative feature to make a decorative wall feature and in fashion jewellery it is used to make necklaces or hangings .It is very popular and complements the beachwear .It is also cheap and affordable and is available in various designs and patterns. Small shells or beads are used to decorate the fabric and make it look more traditional. It is also the name of a popular form of medicine which has a large of calcium present in them .In the traditional Hindu form of worship a big shell is used to blow and the hymning sound coming out of the shell is believed to be associated and linked with the connection with the outside world. It is the sound coming out of the shell that creates a peaceful and serene atmosphere and completes the ritual .The shell knob is made of ceramic and metal and is entirely hand made to give durable and a regal look to dress up the drawer and other kind of furniture whose background is in light and subtle tone.
