Glass tubes are delicate pieces of glass used for experiments in the laboratory by the people working in the science lab. The students of science often go the practical classes where they are introduced to these tubes where they put in one or more chemicals to see the reaction of one on the other. It is used to detect the alkaline or acidic solutions. It is available in different thickness or styles .It is often fitted with a glass stopper to keep the solution covered and prevent it from reacting with the oxygen of the atmosphere. As there are some solutions are combustible and they react and give explosions or cause accidents when exposed to air. Earlier the apparatus were made in the laboratory itself but of recently they are being bought by the dealers or suppliers of the same item. There are some tubes that have to make according to the experiments that is when you are going to conduct an experiment that shows the reaction of the solution on heating and cooling then there is a requirement of a glass burner and the tube is strong enough to withstand the heat of the burner. There are also glass pipes which are very thin and are slightly bended at the end so as to facilitate the easy flow of the prepared solution in the beaker kept below the glass tube. There are two types or glass tubes one is the flint glass and the other borosilicate glass .the flint glass uses lead monoxide and softens on the alcohol flame and is inexpensive where as the borosilicate glass tube is a little expensive and needs a gas burner or a gas flame to get heated up. These types of test tubes are used in schools and colleges because of its flexibility and ability to withstand the high temperature or boiling point and also have an amazing shock reflux. The glass knob is amazingly designed which looks very elegant and chick and can used in the chest of drawer, since they are handmade they may vary in design but has an assured tag of optimum quality that ibis unbreakable and suit any kind interiors.
