• Emotional Intelligence - Hospitality industry demands lot of compromises. An individual has to balance his work, family and personal life. Handling the guests as well as colleagues takes up a lot of effort and is a challenge to be an emotionally balanced person.
• Perceptions – The perception of students towards the profession is that of glamour. But in
reality, it is a shop floor where a lot of hard work is involved which does not match the
perception of glamour quotient.
• Passion – Hotel Industry demands passion at work. Only passionate people can have the
required level of motivation to sail through the initial tough years of the career. Passion is
also required to motivate the students enough to study more than the syllabus, to get
knowledge and get specialised hand in one trait.
• Career Advancements- Hotel Industry offers the best and the fastest career advancements in the service sector. A person joining at the entry level can expect to reach a supervisory level in 2-3 years and so on so forth.
